Single-channel gateways are low-cost devices that can be used to start exploring the LoRa world. They can receive LoRa packets on a specific spreading factor and channel, and exchange them back and forth with the network. Because they’re financially accessible, many users have started to build their own single-channel gateways to experiment with LoRa.
M00S series can upgrade firmware via OTA.
t depends… If your nodes are close to the gateway and are transmitting small bits of data more nodes can transmit to it. Whereas more data or further away means more time on air. It is also important to realize that a single channel gateway has a third of the channels a normal gateway has up to even one eighth of the possible amount of channels.
