What is RadioCore

ESP32’s built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support many short-range applications, while technologies such as LoRa, Wi-Fi HaLow, and Wi-SUN enable longer-range connectivity. To meet diverse wireless needs, we developed RadioCore.

RadioCore is a compact, highly integrated hardware platform combining an MCU, essential peripherals, and optional wireless modules. It integrates USB Type-C, battery management, buttons, and pre-tuned RF circuitry with an antenna interface, providing a ready-to-use hardware foundation.

Unlike conventional development boards or standalone modules, RadioCore can operate independently as a complete development platform or be integrated into custom hardware. Its modular design enables flexible configurations and supports a wide range of expansion kits and accessories.

Flexible Extension Interface

Solder-Free Plug-In Design: Supports solder-free plug-in connections through SMD female headers, while retaining the option for conventional header soldering.
Four-Row Dual-Sided Expansion: Features four rows of 10-pin, 2.54 mm-pitch headers, with two rows accessible from each side of the board, enabling direct plug-in connections from both the front and back.

B2B Expansion Interface

Direct Connection: Connects expansion boards and functional modules directly through the B2B interface for compact and reliable board-to-board integration.
Modular Reuse: Separates the main control unit from peripherals through the B2B interface, allowing the same peripherals to be reused with different main units.
Rapid Adaptation: Enables quick adaptation to different RF bands and application requirements by simply replacing the main unit through the B2B interface, reducing redesign and multi-version management costs.

Compact and Elegant: Features a compact, refined form factor for a neat and aesthetically pleasing standalone platform.
Ready-to-Use Platform: Integrates essential peripherals, USB Type-C, battery management, buttons, and pre-tuned RF circuitry for quick development and deployment.

Flexible Configurations: Supports ESP32-S3, nRF52840, and ESP32-C6 MCUs, with optional SX1262 LoRa and HC01 Wi-Fi HaLow modules. More MCU and wireless module options will be supported in the future.
